Duke's OceanFest - A Waikiki Ocean Sports Celebration
August 23-29, 2009
Waikiki Beach's premier ocean sports festival will wrap up summer and is inviting you to join in the fun for this week long celebration honoring the legacy of Duke Kahanamoku - The Father of International Surfing.

The 8th Annual Duke’s OceanFest takes place August 23-29 and will feature an array of ocean sports competitions – surfing, swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, beach volleyball – and more. All of it in the heart of Waikiki where Duke Kahanamoku began sharing his Aloha Spirit and the gospel of surfing with the rest of the world.

Proceeds raised from Duke’s OceanFest go to support the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation’s mission of providing college scholarships and athletic grants to Hawaii’s outstanding scholar-athletes in water sports. Last year, “Duke’s Foundation” donated $201,000 in scholarships and grants.
